What is Quizizz?

Quizizz is a platform of trivia, this software can be use in class in work groups, previous revision of a test, formative evaluations and answer questions

How is it works?

Quizizz is a unic platform were the student can join by google classroom, when we start to work in Quizizz as a teacher we can see all the quiz that our student answered before. In the panel we have the search to general question and specific questions as english teachers, in colections we can save multiples test already done by the platform or test that we want to do in class. Even in Quizizz we hace a ''meme section'' to help the student to relax before, in the middle or after the test

In Quizizz we have 4 different way to do the test, these are: Multiple choise, fill the blank space, open respond and poll. Finally we can share the test by a link or by google classroom notification to our students.

Why is this particular tool or technology relevant to language learning? What approaches to language learning or research underpin the use of this technology?

This tool proves its relevance by providing an alternative to traditional classroom’s activities when reviewing/reinforcing previous knowledge and to present new content dynamically. Most, if not every, student has a smartphone in which they can install the app and practice in class and outside the classroom.

One of the approaches that considers the use of technology such as this for language teaching is the Game-based learning, which refers to the borrowing of certain gaming principles and applying them to real-life settings to engage users (Trybus 2015).

How might you use it to foster language learning? Think about your target audience.

Considering the versatility of the app, the target audience may be any class between 5th and 12th grade.

Expecting the school may teach a language since the children are younger to acquire knowledge to make it inherent.

What limitations can you see with the use of this technology for the purposes of language learning?
1-. Internet connection.

2.- Activities must be reviewed to know if they are appropriate/accurate

3- The teacher don’t know how to use appropriate the app technological
